Royal Mail Price Increase, 2013
Royal Mail has recently increased their prices to send letters, parcels and packets. But at the RECON Store we are taking steps to ensure that our customers are offered the most economical shipping rates.
For our UK customers, we have introduced Royal Mail 2nd Class as a shipping option. Royal Mail has increased the weight limit to 1Kg within this shipping category, which means that for customers based in the UK many of our items are cheaper to ship with this option.
The RECON Store has also introduced a range of new packaging, which allows us to ship the same amount as our old packaging. But due to the dimensions of the box we can ship this as a small parcel and avoid sending items as a large parcel, which works out cheaper.
We are also working with a range of courier companies to negotiate the best rates for our customers across the globe.
For customers based outside of the European Union, please remember that you will not be charged Value Added Tax (VAT), which immediately gives you 20% off the total cost of your order (less shipping).
The RECON Store has taken steps to ensure that our prices are competitive and this includes making sure that our shipping costs offer value for money.
General
Orders received before 4pm GMT are normally sent out the same working day. This does not apply to Fetters items, Electro gear, Furniture (including Slings) or Rubber goods.
We ship Monday – Friday, excluding UK Bank Holidays. We are unable to ship to PO Boxes or Packstations. All of packages are shipped discretely with no indication of its origin or of the items inside.
If your order contains Fetters, Electro, Furniture (including Slings) or Rubber goods, these items may be dispatched separately to the rest of your order.
If you have created an account with the Recon Store you can track the status of your order by logging into “My Account”.
Made to Order Items
Some items will have an indicator as to the length of time it takes to create the item. All of our Rubber is made to order and is dispatched in 3-4 working weeks. Some Fetters items can take up to 6 working weeks to be created and this should be reflected in the product information. Whilst we strive to keep this information correct, it can change without notice and may change after you have placed your order. In busy periods (e.g. Christmas) this may be longer. We will endeavour to keep you informed of this.
Whilst being created, your order status will be “In Production”.
Please note that Made to Order items ordered with an expedited shipping option will still take their indicated working weeks to manufacture.
Shipping Costs
Shipping is dependent on the weight of the items that you wish to purchase from the RECON Store and your actual location.
The easiest way to calculate your shipping costs is to do the following:
1. Add the items you require to your shopping basket - Click proceed to checkout
2. Add your shipping and billing information – Click continue
3. You will then be given a range of shipping options, which will include the cost
4. Choose your preferred shipping method - Click continue
You will then be taken to the Check Out screen.
Shipping Methods
Products will normally be dispatched by Royal Mail First Class, Special Delivery, Air Mail, Airsure, UPS, Fedex or DHL according to your shipping selection. We reserve the right to substitute alternative equivalent postal providers/couriers where necessary. If for any reason the parcel is returned to us for redelivery the cost of resending is the customer's responsibility. Please do not leave instructions regarding delivery in the order comments box as our shippers will not take note of them.
Royal Mail
For UK customers we ship by First Class Packet Post, First Class Packet Recorded Signed For and Special Delivery. For EU, USA and Rest of World customers we ship by Airmail, International Signed For. Special Delivery and International Signed For items will need to be signed for upon receipt. Tracking numbers are only available for Special Delivery, First Class Packet Recorded Signed For and International Signed For. Tracking numbers are available on request.
UPS
For UK customers we ship by UPS Standard and UPS Express. For EU, USA and Rest of World customers we ship by UPS Standard and UPS Express. Packages will need to be signed for upon receipt. Tracking numbers are available on request.
Value Courier
This shipping selection will use a courier who provides us the cheapest quote for your package- couriers include UPS, DHL and Fedex. Other couriers may be used. Tracking numbers are available on request. 2 - 5 days is indicative of average order delivery time from the day after dispatch date. This may take longer due to reasons out of our control but we will endeavour to let you know if this not the case.
Please note that Made to Order items ordered with an expedited shipping option will still take their indicated working weeks to manufacture.
Collect on Door
This is a specific shipping option only for tickets. If you select this option and you have any item other than tickets in your order, it will not be shipped and you will have to pay shipping charges. The shipping charge total is generally emailed to you within 48 hours of your order being placed. It will include a surcharge of 5% of your total order value.
Tax, Customs and Duty
For orders shipped to within the UK or EU, 20% VAT is added. For goods imported into non EU Countries no VAT is charged (please create an account or log in to view prices excluding VAT), local customs may charge taxes, handling fees or duty on your goods. It is your responsibility to pay these charges.
We will accurately but sensitively fill out Customs Forms for applicable countries. We will not lie or reduce the indicated value of a package for you, please do not request this.
Returns Policy
We comply fully with the EU Distance Selling Regulations.
You are entitled to cancel your order at anytime within 7 working days of receiving your goods.* If you wish to cancel an order under these terms, first email us within 7 working days of receiving your and gain returns authorisation. You then have 30 days to return the item(s). The cancellation period ends on the expiry of the period of 7 working days beginning with the day after the day on which you received the goods. Items should be returned with all original packaging in the same condition as it arrived. When returning the item to us please take reasonable care as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in the post. We strongly recommend using an insured, trackable postal service for this.
After this time returns will be considered but will be at our discretion (unless faulty) and postage may not be refunded. Please email us if you have any questions.
Under the terms and conditions of the Distance Selling Regulations we have the right to refuse returns (unless faulty) due to the nature of the items. These items include underwear, cockrings, cocksheathes, ballstretchers, nipple toys, dildos, gags, butt plugs, genital and medical toys. We also reserve the right to refuse returns of Made to Order/Customised items (including rubber).

Exchanges
Upon receipt of your package, please inspect the goods carefully. If you feel that the items that you purchased are not to your liking or you have ordered the wrong size, please email us and let us know. We will then issue you with a returns authorisation to send the item to us. Items have to be returned with all original packaging in the same condition as it arrived (unless faulty).
We will then replace the item with the size of your choice (where possible) or offer a suitable item in exchange. When returning the item to us please take reasonable care as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in the post. We strongly recommend using an insured, trackable postal service for this. Unless your product is faulty you will be responsbile for the cost return shipping.
