  • Common questions about ordering items from the Recon Store.

    Q - How do I place an order?

    1. Please click on the items you'd like to order - you will be presented with a description of the item and any relevant info, including sizing/colour choice/trim choice (if applicable).
    2. Please also make note if the item has a lead time (time taken to ship the item).
    3. Then select the size/colour (if applicable) and any extra options (if applicable).
    4. Click “Add to Cart”. Repeat for any other items you require.
    5. When you are ready to check out, click “Cart” in the top right hand corner. Double check the items you want are in your order and make sure to double check your size/colour/trim choices. Made to order rubber is non-returnable in most cases so be very careful when ordering this.
    6. After you have checked your order, click “Checkout” beneath the subtotal line.
    7. At the next screen, either Login if you have an account or click “Continue As Guest”. There will be an option to create an account later.
    8. Enter your email address and any relevant billing/shipping information and click continue.
    9. You will now be able to select your shipping method - if you are unsure about what to choose please see our Shipping section.
    10. Then enter your credit card details - our checkout is secured with SSL and we have no access to your credit card information at any point. Click “Complete My Purchase” and your order and details will be processed. A processing screen will appear and change to a confirmation screen when successful.
    11. If you do not have an account registered to that email address already then you will be given the opportunity to make an account.
    Q - How much does shipping cost?

    Once you have put items the items you would like to order into your basket, click “Cart” in the top right hand corner. At the bottom of this page there is a shipping rates calculator. Enter your country and post/zipcode and click “Calculate Shipping Rates”. A list will appear of all applicable shipping rates.

    Q - My country isn't listed; can I still order?

    We are able to accept orders from most countries, even if they are not currently enabled on the site. Please contact us to see if we can ship to your country.

    Q - Can I send you cash or a cheque for my order?

    At this time we only accept Visa, MasterCard, Amex and PayPal online.

    What will be listed on my bank statement when I order from Recon?

    Payments to the Recon Store will be listed in your bank account statement as "T101 Ltd, London, UK".

    Q - Can I pay with PayPal?

    You can use PayPal to check out with the Recon Store!  Just click the "Checkout with PayPal" button in the cart.

    Q - Where do I create an account?

    To track your orders and to experience the full services of the Recon Store we recommend creating an account. If you would like to create a Recon Store account please click here. From here you can check the status of your orders, subscribe or unsubscribe from our emails and manage your addresses. You can also create an account during the checkout process.

    Q - Can I change my items in my order or change my delivery address?

    Once your order has been placed, we are unable to amend the order to include different items, quantities or a new address. Please request to cancel your order via the contact form.

  • Information about our products.

    Q - How do I know what size I am?

    Please refer to our size guides for information about our ranges. The size guide should be featured in the product description. If you still can’t find the information you require, contact us and we’ll be happy to answer your question.

    Q - I can’t find what I’m looking for, can you get it for me?

    If you want an item that we don’t stock, let us know. Some of our range has been brought in due to customer recommendations and requests so contact us and let us know what you want!

    Q - Where are your products made?

    Our products are made all over the world from a host of different manufacturers and supplies. We aim wherever possible to buy from the UK. If you would like to know where an item comes from, let us know and we’ll try our best to let you know.

    Q - How do I use this product?

    We cannot give individual advice on how to use any given product. All items are sold as novelties only and use is always at the operators risk. Please see our Terms & Conditions for more information.

    Q - Do any of your products come with a warranty?

    Most of our Electro Gear carries a lifetime guarantee and the lifetime guarantee will be indicated in the product description. We offer a 30 day guarantee on all of our other products.

    Q - The box my boots came in is damaged, can you replace it?

    Whilst we do our best to package our products to stay safe during transit, damage may occur to boxes, especially with boot boxes as they are not well made. Unfortunately we are not able to replace boot boxes.

    Q - An item is out of stock, will you be getting any more in?

    To be alerted when an item is back in stock, click the “Notify Me When Available” button on the left hand side of the product page. Enter your details and you will be emailed when the item is available. We may not always restock an item and we always endeavour to disable products.

    Q - How do I order/use my tickets?

    The Recon Store sells tickets for Recon.com events, Recon.com sponsored parties and Fetish Week London. You'll receive your ticket as an E-Ticket with a barcode. Tickets arrive in two forms, a standard PDF that you can bring on your smartphone or print out. The other option is only available to iOS users, as part of the Passbook function – open the "pkpass" file and add it to your Passbook. The only exception to this is the FWL2014 - AAA Pass, which is a physical ticket which will be posted to you.

  • Common questions about shipping and delivery.

    Q - How much is shipping?

    Once you have added items you would like to order to your basket with the items you would like to order, click “Cart” in the top right hand corner. At the bottom of this page there is a shipping rates calculator. Enter your country and postcode and click “Calculate Shipping Rates”. A list will appear of all applicable shipping rates.

    Q - How long will it take for my order to arrive?

    The speed of your package delivery is dependant on your shipping method selection, our shipping partners and the shipping destination. Please see our Shipping Page for more information.

    Q - How quickly will you ship my order?

    Most orders will be shipped by 4pm on the day you placed your order, or the next working day. We will endeavour to let you know if this is not the case. Please see our Shipping Page for more information.

    Q - Why hasn’t my order been dispatched yet?

    If your order hasn’t been dispatched yet, you’ve probably ordered an item that is made to order and takes a specified number of days to be made and shipped. Please double check your products before contacting us. If you don’t have any made to order products, pleasecontact us.

    Q - I’ve only received part of my order - where is the rest of it?

    We occasionally ship orders in different packages from different warehouses.

    Q - I haven’t received my order - where is it?

    Please check by logging in to your account or checking your email that your order has been dispatched. Some of our made to order items can take up to 6 weeks to be dispatched - please see our made to order section for more details. If it has been dispatched, it can take up to 20 days to be delivered, although this is uncommon. Please do not contact us before this time unless you have selected a time based shipping method such as Value Courier or Next Day Delivery.

    Q - Can I have my items delivered to a P.O. Box or Packstation?

    We currently ship to P.O. Boxes and Packstations but any parcels returned undelivered from P.O. Boxes or Packstations are liable to be charged to the customer for redelivery. If the customer cancels their order after shipment has been returned to us then the order will be refunded minus shipping cost.

    Q - Do you ship outside the EU?

    We ship outside of the EU and have Recon Store customers all over the world. If your country isn’t listed and you’d like to place an order please contact us to see if we can ship to your country.

    Q - Can I pick up my order from you or at a Recon Event?

    The Recon Store has a variety of shipping options available that ensures that your gear is delivered cheaply, quickly and efficiently. Currently we do not have the capacity to offer a collect at event service.

  • Caring for your new gear:

    Q - How do I look after my Neoprene?

    Our Neoprene range is great – it’s a versatile, comfortable range of garments that should last a lifetime with the right care. Whilst impervious to all lubes and greases, it can crease easily.

    After play, machine wash on a cool setting (30-40°C) with a mild detergent. Afterwards, just hang to dry; do not tumble dry.

    To keep it free of creases, keep the item hung in a wardrobe or flat in a drawer, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. To keep your neoprene shiny, apply a light layer of Silicone Spray to a soft cloth and buff to the shine you desire.

    Following these simple tips will keep your neoprene in excellent condition and ready for any encounters.

    Q - How do I look after my Rubber?

    Rubber is a fantastic addition to any collection and looks good on everyone. Kept right, your rubber can stay smart and clean for its lifetime. However, Latex Rubber is not indestructible and care should be taken with sharp objects and around cigarettes. A small hole can quickly develop into a big hole...

    Unlike neoprene, rubber can be damaged by oil based lubricants and you should exercise care when using these items together. We recommend not using these products together.

    To put your rubber on, sprinkle a copious amount of talc or silicone lubricant inside and pull it on gently, a little bit at a time. Slow and steady is the key here. Do not stretch the rubber by pulling just at a hem or collar, you may damage your item. Taking off your items is slightly more simple – roll the item off gently. Taking it off in the shower may also facilitate removal.

    After using your rubber, clean with a mild detergent and rinse thoroughly in cold water until the rubber squeaks when you run your finger down it. If you have lettering or trim on your garment, it may be wise to turn the item inside out. Hang the item to dry. Do not put the item in a warm place to speed drying, it may damage the rubber permanently.

    Once dry, dust the item with a small amount of non-scented talcum powder (inside and out) and hang in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. You can also store it in a plastic bag, but watch out for creases if you leave it in one place for a long period of time.

    To shine your rubber, use some silicone spray and gently buff the outside with a soft cotton cloth. Try to avoid polishing too hard over metal zips, buckles and studs; it may leave marks that are impossible to remove. It may be easier to polish whilst wearing the item, so recruit a friend to join in the fun!

    WARNING – pale coloured and semi-transparent rubber can be marked easily by coming into contact with metal items, so be careful. This includes coins, belt buckles and jewellery. Watch out!

    Q - How do I look after my Vinyl/Rubber/TPR toys?

    If you are unsure about what material your toy is made from, please ask!

    Clean these toys with warm soapy water and rinse in lots of clean cold water. Allow to air dry. Purchasing some dedicated sex toy cleaner is also a good idea. Try to store all toys separately in a clean cotton handkerchief.

    Q - How do I look after my Silicone toys?

    If your toy is 100% Silicone, it’s possible to clean these by boiling them or putting them in a dishwasher. Don’t use abrasive cleaners; washing up liquid is a perfect detergent for these. They should never ever stain, pit or decay.

    Q - How do I look after my TPR/Silicone mix toys?

    Wash thoroughly with mild soap and water. If your Silaskin and PF Blend products become sticky, we recommend applying corn starch powder – this will restore the product to the original look and feel.

    Stickiness does not mean the product is breaking down or being damaged from lubes. All Perfect Fit products are safe with all lubes.

    Q - How do I look after my metal toys?

    Stainless steel toys are fantastic fun, but can go wrong very quickly if you don’t look after them correctly. If possible, split the items down to their parts and clean individually (Ball Weights, Locking Cockrings). After use, clean with soapy warm water and rinse in cold water. Dry as much as possible with a towel or cloth and then air dry. Store in a cool dry place.

    Q - How do I look after a pair of Bleacher Jeans?

    A set of bleachers will complement any wardrobe and last a long time if you are careful with them. Machine or hand wash at 30°C with a light, non biological detergent. Hang to dry. The bleaching process weakens the jeans and tumble drying is detrimental to them.

    Q - How do I look after my Hemp Bondage Rope?

    Our bondage rope is fantastic for the beginner or a well seasoned pro. To clean, place in an old pillowcase and wash on a delicate cycle at a low temperature. After washing, hang to dry for two days.

    Once dry, re-oil your rope with unscented baby oil or mineral oil. Leave to dry for another two days to let the rope absorb the oils.

  • Questions about returning and exchanging your items.

    Q - How do I return an item?

    We comply fully with the EU Distance Selling Regulations. You are entitled to cancel your order at anytime within 7 working days of receiving your goods. If you wish to cancel an order under these terms, first email us within 7 working days of receiving your order and gain returns authorisation; you then have 30 days to return the item(s). The cancellation period ends on the expiry of the period of 7 working days beginning with the day after the day on which you received the goods. Items should be returned with all original packaging in the same condition as it arrived. When returning the item to us please take reasonable care as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in the post. We strongly recommend using an insured, trackable postal service for this. After this time returns will be considered but will be at our discretion (unless faulty) and postage may not be refunded. Please email us if you have any questions. Under the terms and conditions of the Distance Selling Regulations we have the right to refuse returns (unless faulty) due to the nature of the items. These items include underwear, cockrings, cocksheathes, ballstretchers, nipple toys, dildos, gags, butt plugs, genital and medical toys. We also reserve the right to refuse returns of Made to Order/Customised items (including rubber).

    Q - My item has broken, what can I do?

    If your item is faulty and it is within 30 days of receiving your order, pleasecontact usto arrange return of the product. The item will be assessed and a replacement may be offered subject to this assessment. The item may have to be sent to our supplier for assessment. After this time returns will be considered but will be at our discretion and postage may not be refunded. Please email us if you have any questions.

    Q - How do I exchange a product?

    Upon receipt of your package, please inspect the goods carefully. If you feel that the items that you purchased are not to your liking or you have ordered the wrong size, pleasecontact usand let us know. We will then issue you with a returns authorisation to send the item to us. Items have to be returned with all original packaging in the same condition as it arrived. We will then replace the item with the size of your choice (where possible) or offer a suitable item in exchange. When returning the item to us please take reasonable care as we cannot take responsibility for items lost in the post. We strongly recommend using an insured, trackable postal service for this. Under the terms and conditions of the Distance Selling Regulations we have the right to refuse exchanges (unless faulty) due to the nature of the item.     Q - What can I do if there’s something wrong with my order?

    We are really sorry if we have made a mistake - we are a small team of fetish devotees but still only human! If we have sent you an incorrect item, please contact us and then and we can then resolve the error. We will refund your return postage costs if there was an error on our part. If we have sent your item by the wrong postage method, we will refund your money minus the new postage cost.
